Barclays Make Money Work For You on Heart Network excluding Scotland, September-October 2024 – Specific Rules 

1.      The Barclays Make Money Work For You promotion (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Friday 27th September 2024 to Wednesday 2nd October 2024 on Heart Network excluding Scotland. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is Barclays and the ‘Prize Provider’ is NDL Group. 

2.      IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions. 

Details of the Promotion: 

3.           To enter the Promotion, as a parent/guardian, you must go online to the Promotion entry page at https://heart.co.uk/win register your details and tell us in 300 characters or less what you and your child aged 7 years to 11 years old would spend £3,000 on. 

4.      Entries will be judged by a panel of judges including one independent judge on the following criteria: 

a.      how “feel-good” the submission is 

b.      how unique the submission is and  

c.      how family-oriented the submission is. 

5.     Entries deemed by us to be rude, offensive, defamatory, illegal or condoning dangerous behaviour will be removed from the Promotion. 

6.     Online entry will open at 17:30 on Friday 27th September 2024 and close at 23:59 on Wednesday 2nd October 2024. Entries received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion. 

7.      Bulk, automated, machine assisted, third party, syndicate or other group entries are prohibited and we will disqualify any entries (and withhold or reclaim any associated prize from you) which, in our reasonable opinion, appear to have used any of these entry methods or, for example (without limitation), entries or votes that have been made from the same IP address, email address, postal address, telephone number, or similar or entries which we, at our sole discretion but acting reasonably, consider to be suspicious or fraudulent. 

8.      If we know or suspect you are trying to enter or have entered this Promotion by using more than one phone number or if we know or suspect you are using variations of your name, we reserve the right to disqualify any relevant entry(ies) and exclude you from this Promotion and also permanently exclude you from entering any of our Promotions. 

9.      Within 24 hours of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible entries will be entered into a draw. 50 entries will be selected at random and will be reviewed by the judges against the criteria outlined above. One entry will be selected and will be contacted by one of our representatives via telephone on the telephone number with which you registered to enter the Promotion. If we cannot get hold of the selected entrant within 3 attempts to contact them, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another entrant from the original list of 50 entries based on the above criteria. If we cannot get hold of the new selected entrant within 3 attempts to contact them, they will forfeit their right to taking part in the Competition  and we shall be entitled to select another entrant from the original list of 50 entries based on the above criteria.  

10.   If none of the shortlisted 50 entries are deemed to meet the stated criteria, another 50 entries will be drawn at random and one entry will be selected based on the above criteria and contacted as outlined above. 

11.   By submitting your entry to this Promotion, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of all individuals that feature in your submission (in the case of children under the age of 18, you have obtained the consent of the child’s parent/guardian) and agree to notify us immediately if their consent is withdrawn at any time. 

12.   The parent/guardian and their child aged 7 years to 11 years old will be required together to come to air on Friday 4th October 2024 between 06:00 - 08:00 to have a FaceTime call with the presenters. The presenters will ask the parent six general knowledge/showbiz questions. For each question they answer correctly, they will receive a token of different monetary value. The child will then decide in which of three spend category buckets the token will go. If the parent doesn’t answer the question correctly, they will not receive the token for that question. The value of all tokens will add up to a total of £3,000 of vouchers and the winner will be able to choose their three vouchers as outlined in Rule 24 below. 

13.   If the selected entrant does not respond within 3 attempts to contact them or cannot participate in the video call on October 4th 2024 with the Producers or Presenters, they will forfeit their right to take part in the Competition and we shall be entitled to select a new entrant based on the criteria. 

14.   If you are the entrant you must answer your telephone when we contact you. Someone else cannot answer the phone, participate or accept a prize on your behalf. If: (i) you fail to answer the phone; (ii) someone else answers the phone; (iii) the call goes to voicemail; (iv) the call becomes disconnected; (v) you are not (or do not seem to us to be) in a position to safely and/or lawfully take or remain on the call (for example, if you are or seem to be driving); or (vi) you are not audible or intelligible or we are not able to conduct a conversation with you in a manner that is suitable for broadcast for any reason beyond our control (including, but not limited to: low/no signal on your device, a call is dropped by any network, you are travelling, there is too much background noise or feedback, etc.); before or during the Promotion, you may be disqualified and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another entrant as applicable. If you have complied with all applicable terms and conditions, and successfully answered the questions asked by the presenters then you will be declared the winner of the Promotion.  

15.   We and the Promotion Partner and the Prize Provider may publish and publicise your submission, name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example any one included in the submission/a guest/a travel companion) association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion. 

16.   In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we and our Promotion Partner may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture. 

Eligibility: 

17.   The Promotion is only open to entrants who are residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry. 

18.   Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion.  

19.   The entrant must be the parent or guardian of the child aged between 7 and 11 years of age. 

20.   By entering the Promotion, you acknowledge that you and your child are available to speak with presenters via FaceTime on Friday 4th October 2024 between 06:00 – 08:00. 

21.   Only one name and telephone number may be used by you in relation to this Promotion. The use of multiple names, telephone numbers and/or devices is a breach of our Promotion Terms and Conditions and we reserve the right to disqualify your entry and you will forfeit your prize should we know or have reason to believe that you attempted to use or did use more than one name, phone number and/or device to enter this Promotion. It is also prohibited for anyone else to enter the Promotion using the same phone number including household members or friends.  

22.  Before transferring any winnings to you we reserve the right to request Photo ID (such as your passport or driving licence) and confirmation that the telephone number you entered on belongs to you and proof of your home address (such as a phone bill with your name, address and telephone number on). You agree and understand that should you win a cash prize you may be required to provide these to verify your eligibility. If you fail to provide the requested information and we are unable to verify your eligibility, we reserve the right to withhold any prize from you. 

Prizes:  

23.        The entrant selected to play has the chance to win vouchers up to the total value of £3,000. For each correct answer given by the parent/guardian, they will receive the following tokens:

24.        For each token won, the child will choose which bucket to put the token in choosing from ‘Shopping’, Holiday’ or ‘Toys & Games’. After the competition, the total amount of money from each bucket will be added up and the parent/guardian can choose one voucher corresponding to the bucket spending category - Shopping, Holidays and Toys and Games:

25.        Prizing Details: 

a.      Should these products be unavailable at the time of purchase for the winner, the NDL Group reserves the right to substitute with an alternative of equal or greater value. Specifications are subject to change from the manufacturer without notice.  

b.      Winner’s choice of shopping vouchers, choose from one of the following: M&S, Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s or Asda. Customer should treat e-gift cards like cash. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced. E-gift card for will expire after 2 years (M&S, Sainsbury’s and Asda) after 5 years (Tesco’s). Customer will not be able to use this card after that date and any unused balance on the card will be lost. Card can be redeemed online or instore. 

c.      Winner’s choice of toy store vouchers, choose from one of the following: Amazon, Argos, Smyths Toy store or a Kids Favourite gift card. Customer should treat e-gift cards like cash. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced. E-gift card will expire after 10 years (Amazon), 1 year (Argos), No expiry date (Smyths Toy Store) and 5 years (Kids Favourite gift card). Customer will not be able to use this card after that date and any unused balance on the card will be lost. Card can be redeemed online or instore. The Kids Favourite voucher will be a physical gift card and can be redeemed at the following vendors: The Entertainer Toyshop, Claire's, Schuh, WHSmith, GoApe, VUE, Hey Candy, Toucan Box, Build a Bear Workshop, River Island and Pizza Hut. Card can be redeemed instore and online at certain retailers. 

d.      Winner’s choice of holiday vouchers, choose from one of the following: Travel Inspire, TUI or Air BnB. Customer should treat e-gift cards like cash. Lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced. E-gift card expire after 18 months (Travel Inspire), 1 year (TUI) and no expiry (AirBnB). Customer will not be able to use this card after that date and any unused balance on the card will be lost. Card can be redeemed online. 

e.      All prizes will be delivered within 28 working days from the date that NDL receives confirmation of the delivery address from the winner. NDL will do their best to adhere to these time frames, however due to the ongoing uncertainty with World events, there may be delays with stock availability and deliveries. 

26.        Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner.  

27.        The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available except at our sole discretion. 

28.        We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

Data Protection: 

30.        Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited) and our Promotion Partner as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes. 

31.        By entering a Promotion, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject, and our Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy and our Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Promotion, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us and our Promotion Partner with their personal data. 

32.        You may be asked if you want to opt-in to marketing from us and/or our Promotion Partner when you enter a Promotion. If you choose to opt-in, we and/or our Promotion Partner will use your personal data for marketing purposes (see Global's  Privacy Policy and our Promotion Partner’s Privacy Policy for more details). You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by unsubscribing.  

33.        We, our Promotion Partner and the prize providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. Where any transfers are made outside of the EEA or UK we and the Promotion Partner will ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data are in place.  

34.        When you enter a Promotion we will retain your personal data for up to three years for internal purposes and to comply with our regulatory obligations. You may request the erasure of your personal data by emailing privacy@global.com. If your data is erased prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
