The Heist on Heart February 2020

RULES

1.     The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at https://www.heart.co.uk/terms-conditions/competition) (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to The Heist radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from Monday 10th February to Friday 14th  February 2020 on Heart Network (the “Radio Station”).

2.     Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and the Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. 


Details of the Competition:

3.     To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with the keyword to the “Text Message Line”. Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. The keyword and the opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.

Stage 1:

4.     Each day from Monday 10th February – Thursday 13th February, one eligible Entrant will be selected at random to be brought to air to answer a question. If they answer correctly, they will win their place in the Friday final. If they answer incorrectly, another eligible Entrant will be selected at random and brought to air to answer a question.

5.     All randomly selected Entrants may be required to talk to the presenter(s) either live on air, or a call will be recorded with the presenter(s) and then later played on-air. If an Entrant fails to answer their phone, is driving, or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during the call and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the Entrant, they will forfeit their chance to win and another entry will be selected at random. The Producer’s decision is final.

Stage 2:

6.     On Friday 14th February there will be four safes in the Heart studio. A Heart producer will randomly assign the cash amounts to each safe, each amount will be signified by fake cash in the safe. Three of these safes will contain the runner up prizes of £1,000, and one safe will contain the winner’s prize of £10,000.

7.     On Friday 14th February, the four winners from Monday to Thursday will play for the prizes. They will each be called between 6:30am-10am. They will each be asked to select a safe and it’s key, numbered one to four, they will be asked in the order of the day they won their place in the final with Monday’s winner selecting first. On air a Heart presenter will open each safe until the £10,000 is found, once the £10,000 is found the presenter will open the other safes off air. Entrants will win the contents of their assigned safe. Three of these safes will contain the runner up prizes of £1,000, and one safe will contain the winner’s prize of £10,000.

8.     The Entrant with the safe containing the £10,000 prize will become the winner and will be notified on air during the Competition. The remaining Entrants will each receive the runner up prize of £1,000.

9.     If any winning Entrant from Monday-Thursday fails to answer the call on Friday morning a safe containing £1,000 will be removed. This will happen for each Entrant who fails to answer a call.

10.  If all four winning Entrants­­ from Monday-Thursday fails to answer the call on Friday 14th they will forfeit their place in the competition. The presenters will then set up a text in mechanic to win £10,000. To enter an Entrant must send a text message with the keyword to the “Text Message Line”. Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. The keyword and the opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.

11.  In the event that point 10 occurs one Entrant will be selected at random to win from all eligible entries. All randomly selected Entrants may be required to talk to the presenter(s) either live on air, or a call will be recorded with the presenter(s) and then later played on-air. If an Entrant fails to answer their phone, is driving, or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during the call and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the Entrant, they will forfeit their chance to win and another entry will be selected at random. The Producer’s decision is final.
 

Eligibility:

12.  Entrants must be 18 years of age or above.

13.  Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Competition.


Prize:

14.  1 x winner will receive a £10,000 cash prize. 3 x runners up will each receive a £1,000 cash prize.

15.  The money will be sent in the form of a cheque in the post to each contestants’ home address and will be sent within 28 days of the Competition end date.

16.  The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable.

17.  Global reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
