Celebrating Yorkshire people who have done quite simply amazing things, making Yorkshire proud!
Hosted by Dixie and Emma on Thursday 26th September at Headingley Stadium this will be a night not to be missed so get your glad rags on and get ready to celebrate our Heart Heroes in style!
Nominations are now OPEN, so tell us who deserves to be recognised at our glitzy awards ceremony on Thursday 26th September at the iconic Headingley Stadium. You can nominate ANYONE. It could be a neighbour who has been caring for their elderly relative, a friend who has been doing amazing things in their community, or an NHS worker who quite simply put a smile on your face!

Parent Award
This award is to recognise a truly outstanding mum, dad, foster parent or guardian. We’re looking for someone who has maybe coped with adversity, always goes the extra mile to support their child or maybe they have shown amazing friendship and support to other parents and families.
Carer Award with Anchor
The Carer award is open to anyone working in care or those who care for family or friends. We’re looking for someone who is always there to support others, has a positive impact on a vulnerable person’s life and is always willing to go the extra mile to give someone the care they deserve at a time when they need it most.
Anchor is England’s largest not-for-profit provider of specialist housing and care for older people. Our heart-felt ambition is to transform housing and care so everyone can have a home where they love living in later life.

NHS Hero Award
The work of the NHS is incredible and we want to celebrate those unsung NHS heroes!
We're looking for someone who has gone above and beyond for either the benefit of a patient or maybe someone who has show exceptional support to their peers and colleagues during challenging times. You can nominate someone who cared for you you or someone you love, or NHS staff can nominate a deserving colleague
Fundraiser Award With Xscape
This award is open to people of all ages who have a passion to fundraise and support some amazing causes. No matter how much money has been raised we want to hear how it was done and why it was done. If you know someone is an inspiration when it comes to fundraising we want to know about them.
Community Award
We’re looking for a member of the community or a group that works hard to make a difference. This could be someone who helps a neighbour with shopping, a local community group or someone who makes it their mission to go to remarkable lengths and make a difference to the lives of others.
YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD WITH FIRST DIRECT ARENA
The Young Achiever award is open to anyone under the age of 18 who has achieved something outstanding. We want to acknowledge, encourage and promote their positive achievements. This could be anything from an academic achievement to overcoming a physical challenge.
Child of Courage Award with Carpet Monster
This award is for anyone under the age of 16 who has shown amazing courage. This person could be someone who has battled against the odds, or put themselves at risk to help someone in danger. Whatever courage they have shown we want to know about it.
Neighbour of the Year
This is a chance for you to nominate the people in your neighbourhood who make a difference in your everyday lives. We want to hear the incredible, heartwarming stories of your neighbours going above and beyond to make your neighbourhoods better places to live.
Bright Sparq of the Year – Sparq
Do you know somebody who is bright as a button and used their initiative to do something great?! Could it be in a life or death situation and they thought of how to save the day? Or have they come up with an idea that has made a difference? Or quite simply are they super smart and deserve recognition? We want to hear all your bright spark stories!
Yorkshire Legend of the Year With Zen Auto
We’re looking for an outstanding member of the public or to put it quite simply a ‘Yorkshire Legend’. Somebody who has taken on and achieved legendary status and makes Yorkshire proud!
TEACHER OF THE YEAR
We’re looking for a teacher who has made a real difference to the lives of their students. You can nominate teachers working in schools, colleges or universities and give them the thanks they truly deserve. Maybe they have worked with you to overcome challenges or helped you achieve your goal and never stopped believing in you.
GREEN INITIATIVE
This could be group, company or an individual who are working to make a difference. We’re looking for someone who is working on creating a plan and transition or maybe they have already implemented a successful plan to help create a greener future. We want to see environmental efforts that are making a difference.
SPORTING ACHIEVEMENT
This is awarded to the individual who has excelled in their chosen field of sport and has enhanced the reputation of sport across Yorkshire. He or she has excelled in their sporting field or endeavours.
