After years as a working dairy farm, Folly Farm saw an opportunity to open their gates and give visitors the chance to see the cows being milked and to experience rural life. Nearly 40 years later it’s grown to become the biggest independent visitor attraction in Wales, with a zoo, a vintage fairground, indoor and outdoor play areas, and plenty of other reasons to visit. There are over 100 different species of animal in the zoo, including the ever-popular lions, zebras, rhinos and penguins. But Folly Farm is also home to some unusual species including bongos, tapirs, sloths and dwarf crocodiles. And they have the only giraffes in Wales!

You can also get up close to plenty of furry and feathered friends in the Jolly Barn including ponies, hens and chicks, donkeys and goats. The vintage fairground has 18 rides including dodgems and a Big Wheel, and there are no less than 8 play areas – play on the diggers or climb all over Carousel Woods. It’s very family-friendly rain or shine.
